READING met Bollywood at the weekend as the town's university played host to the annual Bollywood Jalwa.
Organised by the Reading Indian community, in association with My Dance Land School, more than 400 people attended the fourth edition of this popular event.
There were dance performances based on Bollywood blockbusters, fashion shows, belly dance and singing. Guests also enjoyed variety of traditional Indian foods.
Reading West MP, Alok Sharma, was the chief guest. He said: "It was great to see so many kids performing and enjoying the show here. These kids, your kids and mine, are the future."
Aradhana Singh, the founder of My Dance Land, was delighted with how the day went. She said: "The event is getting bigger and better. The participants worked really hard for the show and they have been practising for months. I am specially proud of the kids who were the limelight of the show and thankful to the volunteers."
