A FREE lecture on raising bilingual children will come to Reading University later this week, writes Olivia Rennie.
The lecture, hosted by ItalianMums is supported by Bilingualism Matters@Reading.
Berni Palumbo, founder of ItalinanMums was instrumental in setting up the lecture.
“When I had my son last year, I couldn’t have imagined being the mind behind this event," she said.
"We are trying to create a space in which everybody can be enclosed in, feel welcome, being heard, have questions answered.
"We celebrate diversity as a precious resource that make us all richer, that make us stronger.
"We are a very new group and we have lots of nice new ideas."
The lecture takes place in English on April 6 at 6:30pm. It will take place in the university's HUMSS 175 building at Earley Gate. Entry is free and children are welcome.
