A TEENAGE girl was beaten and sexually assaulted during a terrifying attack, it has been revealed.
The victim was touched inappropriately over her clothing as she was walking through the field off Hyde End Lane in Spencers Wood at around 7.30pm on April 10.
She was grabbed from behind while walking on the footpath, before she managed to break free and run away.
The victim attended Royal Berkshire Hospital and has since been discharged.
Investigating officers have released an E-Fit in connection with the incident.
The attacker is described as an Asian man, aged in his late 30s to early 40s, approximately 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins, of large build and had a round face.
He had short dark-coloured hair which had some grey, stubble on his face and had a cut on his face between his lip and nose.
He was wearing a light grey plain hooded top, matching tracksuit trousers and black trainers.
Detective constable Clare Hickman, of the Investigation Hub based at Loddon Valley, said: “Detectives are working to identify and locate the offender.
"I would like to speak to anyone who noticed anyone matching the description of the man in the area at around the time of the offence.
“I would particularly like to speak to anyone who recognises the person depicted in the E-Fit image.
"If you have any details which could assist with our enquiries, please contact police.”
