FIREFIGHTERS were scrambled to Caversham in the early hours after a car fire had spread to a home.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Services were called to Woods Road, Caversham, at around 1:30am this morning when a car 'fully alight' had spread to a nearby home.
Fire crews were sent from East Reading, Whitley and Tilehurst to fight the growing flames, and battled to fire for about one hour.

A spokesman for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue said:"At 1:24am on Monday, 20 January, we received reports of a house fire on Woods Road in Caversham.
"Crews from Wokingham Road, Dee Road and Whitley Wood were sent to the scene.
"Upon arrival, crews found a car well alight and the fire had spread to a property.
"Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire."
