FOLLOWING the government's decision to allow non-essential retail to reopen from April 12 onwards (subject to certain terms), here are five places to eat and drink that will be open to the public, due to their outdoor seating provisions.

1. Coppa Club, Sonning

Coppa Club, Sonning, Will be opening its 'spring igloos' in line with the re-opening, comfortably sitting six people at a time. 

Diners will be able to enjoy their food and drink by the riverside in the igloos.   

2. The Old Manor pub, Bracknell

Reading Chronicle:

The Old Manor pub in Bracknell is to open its beer garden from Monday April 12.

The Wetherspoon pub in Grenville Place, will be open from 9am to 9pm (Sunday to Thursday inclusive) and 9am to 10pm (Friday and Saturday).

It will offer a slightly reduced menu, to include breakfast, burgers, pizza, deli deals, fish and chips and British classics. 

Food will be available from 9am to 8pm seven days a week.

Customers will be able to order and pay through the Wetherspoon app, however, staff will be able to take orders and payment at the table from those who don’t have the app.

The pub will not be operating a booking system, and customers will be able to enter the pub to gain access to the outside area and also to use the toilet.

Test and trace will be in operation and hand sanitisers will also be available.

Pub manager Jason Gunyon said: “We are looking forward to welcoming our customers and staff back after a long time away.”

3. The Old Boot Inn, Stanford Dingley

The West Berkshire pub, built in the 18th Century, has said on their website: "We are very pleased to announce that we will open for dining in the garden from 12th April. 

"If you would like to book a table please email us on oldbootinnstanforddingley@gmail.com.
"We have taken the decision to stop doing take ways now until we open on 12th April.  "Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us during this difficult time!"

4. Horse and Groom, Hare Hatch

Reading Chronicle:

The Horse and Groom have detailed that their garden space is open for bookings to enjoy some alfresco eating and drinking from April 12th.

They have detailed that outside areas that can be booked online between April 12th and May 17th or alternatively, some tables aside will be open for residents to pop down and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat without booking. 

The pub has warned potential customers however that it’s best to come prepared for potentially poor weather, as they won’t be able to shelter people inside the pub.

5. The Shurlock Inn, Reading

Reading Chronicle:

The Shurlock Inn has said that its outdoor terrace area will re-open to the public for a maximum of ten diners from up to two households, and that bookings will be available for groups of up to six from a single household.

Because there is no curfew, the pub will be operating on its usual restaurant opening times.
