CLOSURE ORDERS -- they’re what the police and local authorities use to prevent or deal with anti-social behaviour at properties in your area.
Basically, they prevent anyone from visiting these properties unless they have been given permission by police.
Anyone who does visit these properties would be committing an offence.

The sort of behaviour that leads to closure orders being applied for can include criminal acts such as drug dealing, causing nuisance to neighbours, creating disorder in the community and more.
In April, a property on Temple Place was closed down after police said it had links to criminal activity.

And in the same month properties on Hazel Crescent and Wrenswood Close were shut down following links to anti-social behaviour and drug-dealing.
There are plenty of properties which have been made subject to closure orders in Reading over the past few months.

- Brunswick Street, Reading -- closure ordered for three months March 9, 2021
- Collins Drive, Earley -- closure ordered for three months from April 26, 2021
- De Montfort Road, Reading -- closure ordered for three months from June 16, 2021
- Hadrian Walk East, Whitley, Reading -- closure ordered for three months from July 26, 2021
- Hazel Crescent, Whitley, Reading -- closure ordered for three months from April 12, 2021
- Hearn Road, Woodley -- closure ordered for three months March 25, 2021
- Oxford Road, Reading -- closure ordered for three months March 14, 2021
- Prospect Street, Reading -- closure ordered for three months May 27, 2021
- Surrey Road, Reading -- closure ordered for three months March 17, 2021
- Temple Place, Reading -- closure ordered for three months April 6, 2021
- Wrenswood Close, Reading -- closure ordered for three months from April 13, 2021
