Investigations are underway by Thames Valley Police into a suspected assault at a house in Woodley.
The incident occurred at a property this afternoon (14/4) in Fairwater Drive.
Police were called to the scene where they arrested a 63-year-old man in connection with the incident.
A woman in her sixties was injured. She has been taken to hospital for treatment.
Thames Valley Police have released a statement regarding the incident.
A spokesperson for TVP posted on social media: “There is no threat to the wider public, and anyone with any questions should feel free to approach our officers at the scene.”
A local resident said that two police cars and an unmarked van were seen in the area and officers appeared to be chatting to members of the public at the scene.
