West Berkshire Council is prosecuting a couple accused of defrauding the authority.
Lynn Raper, 57, and Alexander Roberts, 30, appeared before Reading Crown Court today (April 23).
The pair - of Foxglove Way, Thatcham - face numerous charges of fraud.
Raper stands accused of concealing Roberts' income in her dealings with West Berkshire Council. This allegedly occurred on three occasions between January and September 2022.
Both Raper and Roberts have been charged with concealing, disguising, converting or transferring criminal property.
They deny all charges against them.
Judge Amjad Nawaz set a trial date in the case for October 28.
