An illegal encampment that was spotted in the car park at Victory Field has been removed with the help of the local parish council and Thames Valley Police.
Members of the public noticed six caravans pitched at the Victory Fields recreation grounds on Thursday, April 25.
The Ascot and Sunninghill parish council released a statement on social media stating that they were aware of it and were working with the police and borough council to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
After actions were taken over the weekend the encampment was cleared from the car park at the park on Monday, April 29.
The clerk of Ascot and Sunninghill Parish Council, Helen Goodwin said: “We managed to move the six caravans away from Victory Field yesterday but we believe that they are still in the area.
“No damage was done but there was a lot of rubbish and mess left behind.”
