READING mogul Sir John Madejski poured his heart out in front of the nation this evening when he starred in a BBC documentary on his colourful life.
The BBC 4 programme, 'Rich Man, Poor Man - A Knight's Tale', was shot over the course of three years by filmaker Ian Denyer, revealing a personal side to Sir John rarely seen by the public.
During the programme, which was aired during the Royals Carling Cup clash with Barnsley, Sir John touched on his relationship with his mother and how the truth about his real father was concealed from him, his love affair with Reading FC and his much-gossiped about friendship with Cilla Black.
Sir John also opened up about what it felt like to receive the coveted knighthood and how the recession has affected his multi-million pound fortune.
