READING FC could be set for another takeover following strong interest from China.
The Chronicle understands a group of Chinese delegates are in advanced talks with the club's current Thai owners who are willing to sell their majority share.
Is it believed the Chinese consortium is led by Dai Yongee and sister Dai Xiu Li who tried to buy Hull City in the summer for around £130 million, only to see the deal collapse.
Their representatives are known to have visited Reading's Hogwood Park training ground less than two weeks ago and were also shown around Bearwood where the club's new state-of-the-art training facility will soon be based.
Dai Yongee and Dai Xiu Li already own Beijing Renhe FC in China, but are looking to branch out into English football.
Talks are quickly progressing with Reading's Thai owners, who took control of the club in September 2014 from Russian billionaire Anton Zingarevich.
Reading FC are yet to comment on the takeover speculation.
Meanwhile, Jaap Stam's Royals lie third in the Championship table after beating Bristol City 2-1 at home on Saturday to secure their fifth straight league win.
