READING FC supporters have been laying into the players after the 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Saturday’s reverse at Madejski Stadium leaves Royals bottom of the Championship table and without a win this season.
Leandro Bacuna sums up the mood of the Reading players after Saturday's defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Some fans are even suggesting it is time for Paul Clement to go after Reading’s fourth defeat in six league games going into the international break.
Clement out. It’s just not working. McCarthy in, top guy and won’t suffer anything but 100%. He’s the man for the job. Excellent manager. @ElmParkRoyals @TalkReading #RFC #ReadingFC @getreading

Overall, Saturday showed that #ReadingFC lack a lot of talent in the ‘traditionally’ creative areas of a 4-4-2 formation. If @PaulClement1972 can’t get these traditional methods working with 4-4-2, it shouldn’t be persisted with, and we should look to create through the middle.

I’ve finally been convinced. Enough is enough. Not usually my style to want a manager to depart. @The92Blog @The92BlogChamp #readingfc https://t.co/ck9ncQGi9v

However, others believe the former Swansea and Derby County manager deserves more time to turns results around.
@PaulClement1972 deserves a bit more time I agree but you can't slander Stam when we were in the playoff final everyone was behind him.. sick of fans that always blame the manager.. the players have soo much to answer for and at present they are a disgrace. @ReadingFC #readingfc

Unbelievable, we are rock bottom after 6 games but,,,, a run of 3 wins will see us sail up the table to around 10th place.#ReadingFC #urz #optimistic

Still 40 games to go and I still give PC til Christmas to show real progression.

Reading have won only three times in their last 27 Championship games during 2018 under both Clement and former boss Jaap Stam.
They fell behind on Saturday to an early Adam Reach goal before Lucas Joao made it 2-0 just 14 seconds after the break.
Liam Moore pulls one back for the Royals.
Royals skipper Liam Moore pulled one back with a thumping header, but Clement’s men could not conjure up an equaliser after another lacklustre display.
Sone Aluko played 27 passes during the match, of these, only 8 were attempted as forward passes, of which 4 were successful. This isn’t good enough for a winger. #ReadingFC pic.twitter.com/pR60gdihhD

#readingfc @ReadingFC atmosphere is toxic. Saw my dad today- a fan of 50+ years and we’ve agreed to go and watch @PooleTownFC for the rest of the season. We will be fans for life but we will not be a part of this.

1) Who can save us?

2) Do we even want to be saved anymore? #Readingfc
The under-pressure boss later argued his players went into ‘panic mode’ during the second half and that Royals are often ‘our own worst enemy.’
Clement will be looking to iron out the mistakes with his squad during the two-week international break before returning with a trip to Preston on Saturday, September 15.
