READING FC boss Jaap Stam has been linked with a swoop for Spanish striker Angel, according to reports.
The 30-year-old front-man, who scored 21 goals in Spain's second-tier last season, is out of contract at the end of the season.
Royals are said to be among a host of Championship clubs, including QPR and Aston Villa, who are tracking him.
Angel, or Ángel Luis Rodríguez Díaz, emerged through the ranks of his home-town club, Tenerife.
He went on to make more than 100 appearances for the club before playing for Elche and Levante.
The forward then moved on to newly promoted Eibar, who were plying their trade in the Spanish top-flight at the time.
But he found his first-team opportunites limited and made just 15 league appearances that season, failing to find the net.
In 2015 he moved to Zaragoza on a bosman free transfer and quickly returned to his goalscoring form.
He made 71 appearances for Zaragoza, scoring 31 times.
Angel had a prolific season in front of goal last season, netting 21 in total.
But his contract is due to expire at the end of the month and the forward is said to be considering his options elsewhere.
