Multiple armed police officers rushed to a property in Sonning Common following an incident earlier today (12/5).

According to nearby residents, Thames Valley Police arrived at Peppard War Memorial Hall around 4:30 pm where they changed into riot gear before driving to a property on Shiplake Bottom Road.

Pictures from the scene today showed a riot van including numerous police vehicles outside the property.

Police were seen clearing the scene around 8 pm as they made their way back to the Memorial Hall car park.

A nearby resident said: "It was quite shocking. The police drove into the car park opposite our house around 4:40 pm and started changing into their suits and disappeared down the road."

At 9 pm, a police car, a police van and around six officers were stationed at the Peppard War Memorial Hall car park where they appeared to be packing up to leave.
