Dr Jose Souza was on the passenger list for Flight 447 from Rio to Paris which disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean in the early hours of Monday morning. Dr Souza had worked at the Reading Orthodontic Centre, Erlegh Road, for four years and staff at the practice were visibly upset at the news. Dr Souza qualified as a dental surgeon in Rio De Janeiro in 1996. He worked in oral surgery until 1998, when he started his post graduate diploma in paediatric orthodontics at the university of Paris and the Eastman Institute of Paris.
