Road Traffic Regulation Lower Farley Way

(B3270 LOWER EARLEY WAY, WINNERSH/EARLEY)
(TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2016
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on 11th day of January 2016 the Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14 (1)(a) and 14 (7) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to continue in force restrictions contained in a Notice under section 14(2) of the Act dated 11th January 2016 prohibiting any vehicle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour along B3270 Lower Earley Way, Winnersh/Earley between a point 290 south of its junction with A329 Reading Road to its junction with Rushey Way, Earley.
The restrictions are necessary to enable Stuart Michael Associates' contractors to undertake highway improvement works in relation to a new development in safety.
The restrictions shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 are lawfully displayed in the said roads and at all other periods the existing speed limit of 50 MPH prescribed by the (WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL) (LOWER EARLEY WAY (NORTH), WINNERSH & LOWER
EARLEY WAY, LOWER EARLEY) (50MPH
SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2014 will apply.
The Order shall come into force on the 15th January 2015 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
