ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (FAIRWATER DRIVE, WOODLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2016
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on 31st March 2016 Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made the above-named Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") which continues in force the restrictions contained in a notice under
section 14(2) of the Act dated 30th March 2016
and the effect of which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding along Fairwater Drive, Woodley between its junctions with Antrim Road and Nightingale Road.
The reason for this restriction is to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken in safety.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by the restrictions will be via Nightingale Road, Crockhamwell Road, Woodlands Avenue and Fairwater Drive or by this route reversed.
These restrictions shall only be in place whilst the necessary traffic signs are lawfully displayed. Access to properties located within the boundary of the closure will be maintained where possible.
The Order will come into operation on 31 st March 2016 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is expected that that the closure will be undertaken during the hours of 8am to 4pm, and it is anticipated that all the works will be completed by 8th April 2016.
