ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (WARREN ROAD, WOODLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2016

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on 21 st April 2016 Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") which continues in force the restrictions contained in a notice under section 14(2) of the Act dated 15th April 2016 and the effect of which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding along Warren Road, Woodley between its junctions with Western Avenue and Old Bath Road.

The reason for this restriction is to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken in safety.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the restrictions will be via Western Avenue, Reading Road, and the A4 Bath Road or by this route reversed.

The restrictions shall only be in place whilst the necessary traffic signs are lawfully displayed. Access to properties located within the boundary of the closure will be maintained where possible.

The Order came into operation on 21st April 2016 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is expected that that the works will be completed by 6th May 2016.
