SHINFIELD EASTERN RELIEF ROAD & M4 OVERBRIDGE

HOCHTIEF (UK) CONSTRUCTION

SHINFIELD EASTERN RELIEF ROAD & M4 OVERBRIDGE
The Shinfield Eastern Relief Road construction is nearing completion. To minimise disruption whilst connecting the new road to Shinfield Road (A327) and Cutbush Lane, work will be carried out in phases:
1. 18th July - 22nd July inclusive (5 days) -Gyratory system construction

All traffic continues to the use existing M4 bridge. Cutbush Lane junction with Shinfield Road (A327) FULLY CLOSED 24/7.
Access to and from Cutbush Lane will be via an alternative signed route.
2. 22nd July - 27th August inclusive

Southbound traffic permanently transferred onto NEW M4 bridge.
Northbound traffic continues to use existing M4 bridge.
Existing M4 bridge open to pedestrians and cyclists.
3. 27th August - 30th October inclusive

Existing M4 bridge FULLY CLOSED for
refurbishment.
All vehicles, including pedestrians and cyclists, to use NEW M4 bridge.
Once refurbished the existing bridge will re-open to northbound buses, pedestrians and cyclists only. All dates are subject to weather conditions and do not include work at Arborfield Road roundabout.
