ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (CUTBUSH LANE AND A327 SHINFIELD ROAD, SHINFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2016
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on the 19th day of July 2016 the Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("The Act") and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to continue in force restrictions contained in a Notice under Section 14 (2) (a) of the Act dated 18th July 2016 prohibiting any person from proceed along:
1. Cutbush Lane, between its junctions with A327 Hollow Lane and Leyland Gardens, and;
2. A327 Shinfield Road, between its junctions with Cutbush Lane and B3270 Lower Earley Way (West), Shinfield.
The restrictions are necessary to enable HOCTIEF contractors to undertake essential construction work in association with the construction of the Shinfield Eastern Relief Road in safety.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction in Item 1 above shall be via Leyland Gardens, Rosecroft Way, Wheatfields Road and Wychelm Road or by this road is reverse.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction in Item 2
above shall be via the new Shinfield Eastern Relief Road.
The restrictions shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs in
accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016
are lawfully displayed in the said roads. Access to residents and businesses
within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained at all times.
The Order shall come into force on the 23rd July 2016 and shall continue
in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works have been
completed, whichever is the earlier. It is however expected that the works
requiring the restriction detailed in Item 1 hereof shall completed by 22nd
July 2016 and works requiring the restriction detailed in Item 2 hereof shall
be completed by 30th October 2016. Dated this 21st day of July 2016
