ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS AT VARIOUS ROADS, REMENHAM) (REWIND FESTIVAL) ORDER 2016

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Sections 14(1) (b) and 14(7)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of this Order is to introduce the following traffic restrictions in order to control traffic movements and parking and minimise safety risks during the Rewind Festival to be held from Friday, 19th August to Sunday, 21st August 2016. During the following dates and times the restrictions will apply only when the necessary signs or no parking cones are displayed:-

1. No waiting between the hours of 9.00am on Friday, 19th August 2016 and 4.00pm on Monday, 22nd August 2016, and also during those same hours during the Rewind Festival 2017 along:-

a) Remenham Church Lane both sides for its entire length;

b) Remenham Lane both sides between its junctions with A4130 White Hill and Remenham Church Lane.

2. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Remenham Lane between 9.00am on Friday, 19th August 2016 and 4.00pm on Monday, 22nd August 2016 and also and also during those same hours during the Rewind Festival 2017 :-

a) between a point 146m west of its junction with Aston Lane (access road to Aston House) and its junction with Remenham Church Lane; and

b) between its junctions with a point 110m south west of its junction with Remenham Church Lane (access road to Remenham Farm) and its junction with Remenham Church Lane in a north-easterly direction, except for item 5.

3. Prohibit any vehicle from entering and proceeding along the following roads except for the purpose of access to premises from 9.00am on 19th Friday, August 2016 to 4.00pm on Monday, 22nd August 2016, and also during those same hours during the Rewind Festival 2017:

a) Aston Lane for its entirety.

b) Remenham Lane between its junctions with A4130 White Hill and Remenham Church Lane, except for item 5.

4. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Remenham Church Lane between its junctions with A4130 White Hill and Remenham Lane from 19th August to 22nd August 2016, and also during those same hours during the Rewind Festival 2017 except:

a) in a northerly direction during the hours of 9.00am on Friday 19th Aug 2016 and 7.59pm on Saturday, 20th August 2016 and during the hours of 9.00am and 7.59pm on Sunday 21st Aug 2016, and also during those same times during the Rewind Festival 2017;

b) in a southerly direction over night during the hours of 8.00pm on Saturday 20th August 2016 and 8.59am on Sunday, 21st August 2016 and also during the hours of 8.00pm on Sunday 22nd August and 4.00pm on Monday 22nd August 2016, also and also during those same times during the Rewind Festival 2017.

5. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Remenham Lane between its junctions with A4130 White Hill and Remenham Church Lane except in a northerly direction from 8.00pm on Saturday, 20th August 2016 to 1.59am on Sunday, 21st August 2016 and also from 8.00pm on Sunday, 21st August 2016 to 1.59am on Monday, 22nd August 2016, and also during those same hours during the Rewind Festival 2017.

6. Prohibit any vehicle in excess of 18 tonnes from proceeding between 6.00pm on Friday, 19th August 2016 to 8.00pm on Sunday, 21st August 2016, and also during those same hours during the Rewind Festival 2017 along:

a) Remenham Lane for its entire length;

b) Remenham Church Lane for its entire length; and

c) Aston Lane for its entire length.

7. To prohibit the following vehicle turning movements from Friday, 18th August to 4.00pm on Monday, 22nd August 2016 and also during those same hours during the Rewind Festival 2017 so that there shall be:

a) No right hand turn from A321 Wargrave Road onto A4130

White Hill, and
b) No left hand turn from A4130 White Hill onto A321 Wargrave Road

Access for residents and businesses within the closed sections will be maintained during the period of the Festival, though users will need to observe one-way and no left or right-turn prohibitions. The restrictions will not apply to emergency vehicles or vehicles in the services of the local authority or statutory authority. The Order shall come into operation at 09.00hours on Friday, 19th August 2016 and shall continue in force until Monday, 21st August 2017
