ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WOKINGHAM BOROUGH
COUNCIL
(WARGRAVE HILL, WARGRAVE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITON OF DRIVING) ORDER 2016
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on the 8^,h August 2016 Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Wargrave Hill, Wargrave between its junctions with A321 Wargrave Road and Dark Lane.
The reason for this restriction is to enable SSE and Wokingham Borough Council to undertake diversionary and embank stabilisation works in safety
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by this restriction shall be via A321 Wargrave Road, A321 High Street, B477 School Lane and Dark Lane, or by this route in reverse.
The restrictions shall only be in effect whilst the necessary traffic signs are lawfully displayed. Access for residents and businesses within the boundary of the restriction shall be maintained at all times.
The Order will come into operation on 17^th August 2016 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is however expected that works requiring this restriction will be completed by 14^th September 2016.
