ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL
(A33 SWALLOWFIELD BYPASS, THREE MILE CROSS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2016

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on the 15th August 2016 Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made the above-named Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in a northbound direction along A33 Basingstoke Road between its junction with the B3349 Riseley Roundabout and its signalised junction at Mere Oak Lane The reason for this restriction is to enable resurfacing works to be undertaken in safety. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this restriction will be via B3349 Basingstoke Road (Riseley, Swallowfield and Spencers Wood) and Basingstoke Road (Three Mile Cross) then back
onto the A33.

Access to properties located within the boundary of the closure will be maintained where possible. This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road. The Order will come into operation on 25th day of August 2016 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is expected that that the closure will be undertaken overnight, during the hours of 8pm to 6am, and it is anticipated that all the works will be completed by 16th October.
