The NHS opened walk-in vaccination sites in England this week including centres across Berkshire.
The walk-in sites are to encourage the public to get jabbed against COVID-19 ahead of winter.
NHS England is encouraging people aged 12+ to get vaccinated to mitigate the “challenging” winter it is expected to have.
Almost everyone who is registered with a GP lives within 10 miles of a walk-in clinic and the NHS walk-in finder website lists every place that is available.
A first dose of the vaccine is being offered to children aged 12-15 as well as those aged 16 and over.
Those who are eligible for the booster jab can also visit a walk-in centre to get a top-up, and more than six million people have already come forward.
Am I eligible for a Covid booster vaccine?
You can get a booster dose from a walk-in site if it's been 6 months (or 182 days) since your 2nd dose and you're either:
- aged 50 or over
- aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts you at high risk from COVID-19
- Frontline health and social care workers aged 16 and over can also get a booster dose from a walk-in site
