With new cases of the Omicron variant being found in the UK, the booster jab campaign is being stepped up.

We don't know yet how effective our current vaccines are against the new variant but Prime Minister Boris Johnson suggested that they would at least offer some measure of protection during a press conference on Saturday November 27.

If you are aged 40 and over and are double vaccinated, you are now eligible for your booster vaccine.

You will also be able to get the first two doses if you haven't had them yet.

There are a number of walk-in vaccination centres across Berkshire, where you could either get the first, second dose or even the booster jab.

If you are going to the walk-in centre for your 3rd dose, you must bring your referral letter from a GP or hospital doctor to get the booster.
