A MERCEDES driver has been fined hundreds for speeding on the M4 motorway.
George Clowes, 68, of Courtfield Road, London, was driving between Junction 13 and 12 in Reading when the camera caught him speeding over 70mph.
The driver was caught on January 1, 2022 but appeared in Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on September 29, 2022.
He was driving a silver Mercedes Benz and broke the motorway speed limit contrary to regulation 3 of the Motorways Traffic (Speed Limit) Regulations 1974, section 17(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Clowes pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £538.
He also has to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £54.00 and was given six points on his drivers license.
The maxium amount he has to pay is £592 by October 27.
