BIRDSALL Derick Formerly of Shinfield Sadly passed away on Friday 29th December 2023 aged 93. Loving husband to Eileen, married for 70 years. Funeral service to be held at Reading Crematorium West Chapel on Tuesday 23rd January 11:15am.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our fun, lively and mischievous Uncle Derick. Coming from a very humble background, he made the most of every opportunity he was given, so achieved an amazing, full and exciting life. Travelling the world, fostering his musical and sporting talents delving into family history way back to the 15th century are just a few of his many interests. What made him particularly special though was his quiet, thoughtful and unassuming manner, despite his achievements. He was a true gentleman and we’re so proud to have had him as our uncle. We will always remember him great fondness.
