The British jazz veteran, who originally trained as an orthopaedic surgeon, discovered his love for jazz at university and joined the Cambridge University Jazz Group.
As a self-taught musician, Art has toured all over the world with Stan Tracey, as well as playing with the likes of Mick Jagger and Chuck Berry.
He will be supported by up-and-coming star Mike Soper, pianist Rod Brockway, Andy Crowdy on bass and Clark Tracey on drums.
While influenced by the music of Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins and John Coltrane, Art is renowned for his original and individual style, with exciting and unpredictable performances.
So swing by Norden Farm for some jazz from a musician who has been on the scene for around half a century, on Friday, January 24, at 8pm. Tickets cost £13 (£11 for concessions and £5 for under-16s). Call 01628 788997 or visit nordenfarm.org to book.
