MYSTERY surrounds the cause of an explosion of a high voltage transformer which lead to a road closure.
At around 3.10pm this afternoon, fire crews from Wokingham and Wokingham Road were called to Arbor Road, Winnersh.
Wokingham Road watch manager Darren Barrett said the cause of the explosion which lead to the small blaze was unknown.
A member of the public had alerted the crews to the situation and, the road was closed for around an hour while the crews made the scene safe.
