A HAMMER wielding man smashed the front window of a Volkswagen polo outside a kebab shop.
At around 6.23pm on Thursday, April 6 two men were talking outside the front of the Turkish Mangal kebab shop in Northumberland Avenue, Whitley.
An argument and a small scuffle took place between them, which did not result in any injuries, police said.
One of the men ran away and left a blue Volkswagen Polo car parked outside the kebab shop.
A third man came out of the kebab shop and used a hammer to smash the front offside window of the car.
Investigating officer PC Phoebe Clarkson said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened as they could have information which could assist officers.
"There were four people in the kebab shop during the incident who would have seen it take place and numerous people in the street at the time who are likely to have witnessed the offence.”
A man aged 19 and two men aged 22, all from Reading, were arrested on April 6 on suspicion of affray and were released under investigation.
Anyone with information should call 101.
