CAVERSHAM Horticultural Society's (CHS) Autumn Show was a big success following the extreme weather this year, writes Jim Tatum.
CHS held their annual Autumn Show on Saturday, September 8 and despite the incredibly hot summer, members still managed to put some wonderful produce on the tables.
The show featured a variety of classes, including exhibits where members could showcase their vegetables, fruit and flowers, as well as classes for people of all ages to enjoy.
As always, several prizes were given out for the best exhibits, with a wide range of categories for members to enter into.
Caroline Johnson was the star of the show, as she was awarded with a whopping six prizes including the Handicraft Cup and the Society Silver Challenge Cup, while Jim McCartney also picked up an impressive four awards.
Elsewhere, George Saffrey was awarded for the most points in the novice or children's section.
