An inquest into the death of a father-of-two, who took his own life after struggling with mental health problems, began today.
Adam Ludlow, of Walnut Way, Tilehurst, had suffered from anxiety and depression and had sought help for his condition.
His family believe that failings in his care at Prospect Park Hospital made his condition worse.
The 37-year-old asphyxiated himself in his garage in September 2017, after an attempt to hang himself weeks before.
The inquest heard that Adam had struggled to cope with some of the symptoms of anxiety, as well as the fact that he believed he was experiencing delusions.
The inquest heard how, at the time of his death, it was not believed that Adam was at high risk of taking his life.
Inquest continues.
