SCHOOL may be out for summer, but Wokingham Borough Libraries have a series of events to keep kids of all ages entertained.

The events on offer aren’t just aimed at bookworms, and provides something for the whole family.

Those looking for an activity that;s out of this world may enjoy celebrating 50 years since the Apollo 11 moon landing, with an interactive retelling.

Children can handle moon rocks and meteorites at the Woodley Library session on August 10.

There are also MAD Science Rocketeers Workshops available, where children can learn all about rockets and even make their own.

The future generation of William Shakespeares and Jane Austens are invited to put pen to paper at the Teen Writing Workshops with Igniting Writing.

Councillor Parry Batth, executive member for environment and leisure, said: "This summer we’re delighted to be offering a wide range of quality activities for both children and young people across our Wokingham Borough Libraries.

"There are numerous workshops which promise to be both engaging and educational.

"So whether you’d like your kids to continue their progress with reading, writing or even mathematics our libraries have sessions to suit.”
