Traffic in Reading town centre is likely to be disrupted for the rest of this afternoon after scaffolding collapsed at a building site on Garrard Road.
Emergency services have cordoned off the area and closed Garrard Street and Greyfriar's Road.

Access to the NCP car park is currently cut off to allow Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and South Central Ambulance Service to continue to work in the area.
A spokesperson from the Thames Valley Police said: "There are no concerns as to the structure of the car park, but members of the public will not be able to access their vehicles until further notice."
