AN army regiment is taking part in a family fundraising football match to honour PC Andrew Harper, next week.
Abingdon Town FC, in Oxfordshire, will be hosting the match on Thursday October 3 with a 7.30pm kick off.
The game will see Goring United take on 11 EOD Regiment 421 Squadron.
Gates open at 6.30pm with entry gained on donations.
All proceeds raised will go to PC Harper's fund for his family, which has so far raised a total of £316,501.
Organisers on Facebook are encouraging people to "come and support this worthy cause".
PC Harper died whilst responding to a burglary near Sulhamstead last month and various fundraising events have been organised in his memory including motorbike rides across the UK.
