THOUSANDS of bikers who took part in a mass rally in memory of PC Andrew Harper have raised £30,000.
The Ride of Respect saw motorcyclists ride from RAF Benson to Abingdon on October 27, led by PC Harper's wife Lissie Harper and other loved ones.
Posting on the event's public Facebook page this week, organiser Sian Sloper said a penultimate figure of £30,027 had been raised.
She hailed it an 'amazing effort' from everyone involved and said one more sum of money was yet to be counted.
According to earlier posts on the page, the sum will be donated to PC Harper's family to use as they wish.

The 28-year-old was based at Abingdon station, which was along the route, and grew up in Wallingford.
Motorcyclists paid a small fee to take part to cover costs, and anything left over will be donated.
Donations were also collected from food and refreshment sales on the day, the sale of blue ribbons and Ride of Respect patches and clothing.
People who commented on Ms Sloper's post hailed the amount 'outstanding' and 'truly amazing'.
