RESIDENTS have expressed their excitement about a new snooker club coming to Reading.
After an absence of three years, it has been confirmed that snooker fans will once again have a place in the town to play snooker, pool and darts at Richfield Avenue centre.

Facebook comments posted on the story show locals' mood towards the prospect of having a central place to finally be able to take part in such activities.
Victoria Cox said: "Can't wait - there will eventually be something to do in Reading, have missed playing pool," while Tony Woodward said: "Great news."

Comments reflect the gap in the town for a place to play snooker, with the closest at the moment being in Newbury.

Many tagged friends on the post to plan trips once the club opens next month.
Some have said: "We now have to start going again!"
The official opening of the club will be on January 4, when professional snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan will play a special exhibition against local players.

The club is certainly generating a lot of interest, and is set to be a popular place when it opens for business.
