A NEW cinema is planned for the Broad Street Mall, in Reading.
According to planning documents submitted to Reading Borough Council, a cinema will open up in the mall, where Argos used to be.
Plans for the new cinema to have an open ‘loggia’ — similar to a balcony — on the first floor have been approved this week.

Commenting on the plans one member of the public raised concerns about how windy it could get with a balcony.
The open space will be on the corner of the Oxford Road and Queens Walk, and will join the lobby of the cinema.
The space used to be used as the stock room by Argos.
