A LATE night Christmas shopping event is being held in Caversham next week.
The event, taking place on Friday December 6, will allow visitors to stock up on festive gifts from a host of independent and family owned shops, eateries and businesses.
Many of the shops will be open and there will be stall holders from the Caversham Artisan and Farmers Market in the precinct.

Santa will be welcoming guests to his special grotto in the Caversham Emporium where he will be holding story telling sessions for the children.
He will also be accepting gifts from visitors which will later be distributed to children who would otherwise miss out.
The charities chosen this year are The Lions Children’s Ward at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Reading Family Aid.

Performances will be taking place throughout the evening including pupils from Hemdean House School, Theatretrain, Vocalese, the New Testament Church of God Choir, the Market Buskers and Caversham singer, Josie Tyacke.
The event starts at 5pm and has been organised by Caversham traders Association.
