ANTI-Boris banners were hung around Newbury and Thatcham last night, a week before the general election.
The banners, which have the Extinction Rebellion logo on, have been hung on the Robin Hood roundabout in Newbury, and around Thatcham trading estate.
On the banners are written: “Say no to Boris”, “Tories out”, and “Cut CO2 now”.

Extinction Rebellion Newbury hung up the banners. A spokesperson said: “We want to ensure the environment is treated as the number one priority for all politicians.
“XR Newbury is concerned about the future of the next generation and consider the environmental policies of the current government to be inadequate.
“Scientific consensus indicates that unless quicker and much bigger cuts are made to CO2 emissions, our current young people will face food and water shortages, mass migration, global and societal collapse.

“Cross-party teamwork and regard are essential to tackle the undeniable challenges of the climate crisis.”
The West Berkshire Conservative Association declined to comment.
The general election is on December 12.
