CHOIRS from across Reading are invited to send their entries in for the Mayor’s annual singing competition.
Let’s Sing 2020 is a showcase for local amateur choirs, with the final taking place at The Hexagon theatre on Tuesday, February 25.
The contest is divided into the three categories of Juniors (under 12s), Youth (under 18s) and Community Choirs.

Entrants from the greater Reading area can complete an online form and link to a video of their choir performing a song either on YouTube or Facebook.
Alternatively, a CD or MP3 of a performance can be sent to: The Mayor’s Parlour, Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 2LU.
The closing date for entries is Monday, February 3, 2020.
A panel of judges, including Reading Mayor, Cllr Paul Woodward, will select six entrants from each category to take part in the final in front of an audience at the Hexagon on the evening of Tuesday 25th February.

There will be a winner from each category and an overall winner on the night presented with a special Let’s Sing trophy by the Mayor.
Cllr Paul Woodward, Mayor of Reading, said: "Let's Sing is an absolute gem in the Mayor's events calendar.
"I am really looking forward to seeing the finalists perform on stage at the Hexagon in February.
"If you and your choir would love the opportunity to perform on The Hexagon stage please get in touch! The deadline for entries is Monday, February 3.
"The talented finalists will have the thrill of performing on a big stage and the audience will enjoy a great evening of entertainment.
"On top of that my chosen charities, Reading Family Aid, South Central Ambulance Charity and Sport in Mind, will benefit from the proceeds of the evening."

Tickets for the final are priced at £11.50, concessions £5.50 and Family £29, for groups one in 10 tickets are free.
All proceeds from the show will go to the Mayor of Reading's Charity Fund.
