A MAN has been arrested after someone was attacked in front of their daughter while walking through Market Place, Newbury.
Thames Valley Police said the victim, a man in his fifties, was walking with his daughter and her friend through the area on October 19 about 9.40pm.
He saw another man who appeared to be urinating against church yard railings, who he told to stop.

Police said it was then that the man pushed the victim.
After this, another man then punched the victim to the floor and kicked him whilst on the ground.
The victim was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon for treatment and he has since been discharged.
Thames Valley Police said a man, aged 24, from Lambourn was arrested on Monday on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and has been released under investigation.

Investigating officer PC Gemma Hebdon, based at Newbury police station, said: "We would still like any members of the public to come forward with information about this incident.
