A DRIVER could face disqualification from driving after being stopped by police for travelling at almost double the speed limit in Reading.

The Golf R was stopped on the A33 for driving 79mph on a 40 limit road close to the Reading Gate Retail Park.

Thames Valley Police posted a photo on Twitter to warn people to travel to the speed limit.

The offender will appear in court, where they could face disqualification.
