The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:
October 11:
CHARLIE BRIDGEMAN-PAGE, 19, of Kersey Crescent in Speen, Newbury, convicted of assault by beating in Hermitage on December 8. Given a community order and must carry out 180 hours of unpaid work. Also banned from entering the Fox Inn in Newbury for two years. Ordered to pay £150 compensation and £800 court costs.
ROBERT BASKERVILLE, 30, of Mays Close, Earley, admitted failing to comply with a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on September 6 and August 30. Given a community order with varied requirements and ordered to pay £60 court costs.

PAUL NICOLA, 55, of Oxford Road, Reading, admitted failing to comply with a community order by not attending rehabilitation on May 20, May 24, and May 31. Fined £40 and ordered to pay £60 court costs.
DAVID LIVORA, 40, of The Ridge, Cold Ash, Thatcham, admitted speeding on the A4 Bath Road on February 23 in Thatcham. Found to be doing 35mph in the 30mph stretch of road. Fined £70 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. Three points added to driving licence.
NEIL MANNING, 36, of Crest Close in Reading, admitted criminal damage to two windows at The Chequers Pub in Woodley. Given a community order with rehabilitation. Ordered to pay £250 compensation and £85 victim surcharge. Must also pay £310 court costs.

MATTHEW STEVENS, 29, Pigeons Farm Road, Thatcham, admitted drug-driving in Maidenhead Road, Warfield, on December 17. Had cannabis in his blood. Fined £162 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.
MATTHEW GODDARD, of 42, of Oxford Road, Reading, failed to give information relating to the identity of a driver alleged to have committed an offence in Banbury between April 11 and May 9. Fined £300 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Six points added to driving licence.
BRANDON WHEELER, 19, of no fixed abode, admitted assault by beating in Henley-on-Thames on January 12. Also admitted harassment without violence in Reading on August 25. Sentenced to 26 weeks in prison as it was a ‘serious attack’. Also ordered to pay £150 compensation. Made subject to a restraining order.

KIRK SHEPHERD, 29, of Camelford Close, Reading, admitted assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm in Reading on March 24. Sentenced to prison for 18 weeks suspended for 24 months as offence was ‘of a serious nature’. Must comply with rehabilitation requirements and carry out 150 hours unpaid work. Made subject of a restraining order and must pay £300 compensation. Also ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge, plus £750 court costs.
EL AHAMED, 24, of Kinson Road, Tilehurst, Reading, admitted using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment or alarm in Reading on September 29. fined £200 and ordered to pay £60 compensation, plus £200 court costs.
