A FESTIVAL focusing on wellbeing and the planet is coming to Reading.
The first of its kind in the UK, the inaugural 'Medicine Festival' gathering will take place at Wasing Estate in August.
A family-friendly event, the festival aims to find solutions – or the ‘medicine’ – for climate change and other threats to the planet and its people.

There are 1,500 tickets available for the alcohol-free gathering, which has been carefully curated to encourage families and communities to gather, learn, reconnect with nature, and leave with hope for the future.
Some tickets are also being reserved at a discounted rate for local people.

The event has a mission to bring people of all ages, cultures and communities together to find solutions, touching on topics such as ecology, philosophy, science, technology and creativity.
The Medicine Festival's general manager Jenna Ansell said: "Medicine is a celebratory experience of love, laughter, play, connection and inspiration.
"It is an opportunity for people to unplug from the modern world and be revived by spending time in nature.
"We've designed a pioneering festival in the UK.
"By fusing the joy of music and entertainment with inspiring thought, nourishing food, nature, celebration and creativity, people return home feeling revived, focused on shaping a positive future."
Wasing Estate owner, Joshua Dugdale, says: "Wasing is fortunate to be playing host to the Medicine Festival, and I hope that the local communities and neighbouring towns will join the event in supporting the wonderful mission behind it."
The event takes place from Thursday, August 27 to Monday, August 31.
More details of the line-up and programme are to be announced.
