An iconic pub is set to change it name and get a new look.
The Pavlov’s Dog, at 21-23 St Mary's Butts, will become The Boundary if the company’s planning application is approved by the council.
The Reading institution is run by Stonegate Pub Company, which also owns the recently-troubled Yates on Friar Street.

Stonegate has applied for planning permission for a redesign to reflect the proposed change with new illuminated and hanging signs.
Some windows will also be replaced, a retractable canopy fitted, and beach style seating huts installed for outside drinking and eating, if the plans are approved by Reading Borough Council (RBC).
The pub is currently closed for refurbishment and will re-open on February 18.
