A PUB in Reading will ‘mark the end of Brexit’ with a party for customers tonight as the country official leaves the European Union.
'Boris Johnson and The Queen' – albeit two customers dressed up as the famous faces - will be making an appearance today among the guests at The Pond House, Oxford Road.
Organisers have said there will be speeches from ‘Boris and the Queen’ just after 8pm which will be followed by ‘Land of Hope and Glory’.
The remainder of the night is to consist of a disco that will play a selection of 'Great British artists' and a raffle to win a hand-knitted Boris.
The Pond House have said “all the local customers and friends” have got behind the idea and the evening will just be everyone “having a good time”.
Those at The Pond house wont be the only ones marking the occasion, according to a Facebook poll by the Reading Chronicle.
We asked readers how they were feeling ahead of Brexit Day when the country will officially leave the EU.
Out of the 209 people who responded: 144 people said they were feeling “Bad – I am worried” and 65 people chose “Great – I will celebrate”.
Although, not everyone has such a strong opinion on ‘Brexit Day’, with one user commenting “Nothing to celebrate, just another day.”
What are your thoughts as it will be official tonight, and how will you be marking Brexit Day?
