The warm up
Runners will be tasked with running a relay race down Broad Street from 12.30 while flipping pancakes along the way.
So far, our reporter at the scene has spotted people dressed up in aprons, a banana suit, and a chilli - with many more costumes to come we are sure!
Sir John Madejski has also been spotted and said the event is 'fantastic' and is a loyal attendee.
The event is in its 23rd year and races funds for Reading homelessness prevention charity Launchpad.
More to follow.
