JOHN Lewis in Reading could soon be serving alcohol if plans are approved.
The department store applied to Reading Borough Council on February 25 to be able to sell alcohol on the premises.
The proposals include the supply of drinks between the hours of 8am - 11pm Monday to Sunday.

The planning documents to not specify the details of how the alcohol will be served, but John Lewis has been approached for comment on this.
Anybody wishing to view the application can do so at Reading Borough Council by prior arrangement between the hours of 9am to 5pm.

The application can also be requested electronically by emailing licensing@reading.gov.uk.
The closing date for representations is March 24.
