A HOMEOWNER was threatened with a metal pole after returning to find two burglars having broken in to his house.
Thames Valley Police said the victim, a man in his forties, was threatened and forced to flee after he spotted a man inside his property in Home Farm Close, Reading.
The homeowner came home about 9pm on Thursday, February 13, and saw a man inside his home at the window.

He approached the house to find two burglars inside, one with a metal pole who attempted to swing it at the victim.
Police said the homeowner was able to get away from the attacker as they left the scene in a vehicle.
Nothing was stolen, and Thames Valley Police said the victim was not injured and did not need hospital treatment.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Adam Tarrant, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident, or anyone who saw a man matching the e-fit in the area at the time to get in touch.
